Each October, the DEBRA Australia community unites to show their incredible support for International EB Awareness Week – and this year was no exception. This year, more than 200 participants joined us for Walk for Wings, raising over $19,000 to support children and individuals living with EB.

Walking events were held in Hobart, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney, with additional participants taking part virtually from Canberra, Perth, Townsville, Sunshine Coast and South Australia. These events highlighted the strength and commitment of our community in raising awareness and support for people living with EB.

Beyond the walks, many supporters took part in the #InsideOutforEB campaign, helping to raise awareness of EB. Thank you to everyone who participated, shared our resources, told their stories, and helped spread the word about EB.

A special acknowledgment goes to Kylan and his mum Emily, along with DEBRA Australia Ambassadors Dean Clifford and Matt Bevilacqua, who generously shared their #EBWarrior stories. Their voices not only helped us raise awareness of EB, but also brought hope to our EB community.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and stood united with the EB community this year.
