DEBRA Australia is proud to be hosting this highly-anticipated event for EB health professionals and researchers which will feature speakers from across the globe, including Keynote Speaker Professor Cristina Has from Freiburg University. Guest speakers will showcase the latest updates in clinical care and research in Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

The program will include a clinical update on therapies under development, a panel discussion on multidisciplinary models of care for EB, and presentations on the latest DEBRA International Clinical Practice Guidelines. It will also cover research updates on topics including ocular manifestations, wound healing, infection, occupational therapy, scarring, and stem cell therapies in EB.

  • Professor Cristina Has, Head of the Genodermatosis Clinic, Department of Dermatology (Freiburg University, Germany)

With over 20 years of clinical experience in general and paediatric dermatology, specialising in genodermatosis, Professor Cristina Has is an internationally recognised leader in Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

Globally renowned for research into the genetic and molecular basis of skin fragility disorders, Professor Cristina Has has advanced understanding of EB subtypes, impact, and therapies. Professor Has is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of DEBRA International, and has served as the first author on the latest consensus reclassification of inherited EB and DEBRA International’s Clinical Practice Guidelines.
