Held on Friday 12th September, Bubbles and Butterflies 2025 was a day of style, generosity, and community – and a beautiful reminder of the impact we can have when we come together. This year, the event has raised an incredible $48,000 for families living with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

Created by DEBRA Australia Ambassador Deanna Pope, the event captured the vibrant spirit of the Spring Racing Carnival at Caulfield Racecourse. Guests arrived dressed to impress in Melbourne’s finest race day fashion, with the lush green turf of the racetrack providing a stunning backdrop. Elegantly set tables welcomed attendees for an unforgettable afternoon  all in support of a vital cause

Highlights of the day included live paintings by artist Stephen Evans, whose works ignited a spirited bidding war as guests competed for the chance to take home one of his spectacular paintings. The atmosphere was elevated by music from long-time DEBRA Australia supporters, the Screamin’ Eagles, along with inspiring talks from Champion Racehorse Trainer Peter Moody, who graciously stepped in at the last minute, and EB Nurse Consultant Lauren Weston. The entire event was beautifully hosted by the wonderful Kate Watts.

We cannot thank Deanna enough, who once again donated her time and passion to bring this spectacular event to life for the second year running.

Special thanks also goes to:
