On a freezing Saturday afternoon in July, warmth came not from the weather, but from the generosity and spirit of a lively crowd gathered at The Comic’s Lounge in North Melbourne.
Supporters came together for an entertaining afternoon of trivia, hosted by our wonderful Ambassador Daniel Connell, and a special stand-up set by icon Kitty Flanagan, all in support of families living with EB.
The trivia was no walk in the park, with questions that had even the smartest teams scratching their heads. Our wonderful Family Support Coordinator, Simone, also gave a powerful speech – and for many in the room, this was their first time hearing about EB and the realities faced by families living with it.
DEBRA Australia is truly grateful to Daniel, Kitty and The Comic’s Lounge for all their incredible work for this event, helping to raise just over $8,000 for families living with EB. Thank you to Melbourne Racing Club, A-List Entertainment and everyone who donated raffle prizes for this special event.
