Lachlan Albert joined Debra as an ambassador in 2020 following the PB4EB Charity event. Having grown up in Sydney Lachlan developed an extensive network of people that shaped him to form values and empathy towards the most vulnerable and has instilled an ability to make connections with individuals from all areas of society, building strong and productive relationships with a wide-ranging group of people. Having attended Saint Ignatius’ College, Riverview, Lachlan always had a passion for learning and his sport. Following schooling, Lachlan signed a professional Rugby Union contract in 2019 whilst still in school. Through his position as a professional rugby player for the ACT Brumbies Lachlan has been able to assist those in positions of need through his passion for rugby. Lachlan has his goals set for his rugby union career, however, also understands the importance of balance and giving back to those that need it most. Through his training he has developed a drive for results which has seen him relate to the challenges that individuals face when fighting Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). His mother, Alex, being a wound care specialist formed the connection to DEBRA and thus allowed Lachlan to be involved in an amazing cause for amazing people.
