For over 10 years now the Brighter Days festival has supported DEBRA Australia’s programs and our EB community by raising more than $1,000,000.
This year, the team exceeded our expectations, when we received an incredible donation of $230,000. We want to thank the entire Brighter Days committee for their tireless work on behalf of DEBRA and our EB community. We also thank all the volunteers and attendees for contributing to such a fantastic result – we look forward to working with you all again for another successful event in 2024.
The annual Brighter Days 3 day festival started from the humble beginnings of a backyard BBQ and sing along where they met EB warriors Eliza Baird who battled severe EB and Tilly Wilkes who has mild EB. This group of like minded friends whose interests include bikes, cars and music formed a committee to organise the inaugural “Brighter Days” event.
This is a much-anticipated event each year for those who have now become Brighter Days supporters for life, and it has become one of DEBRA Australia’s most valued partners. The tireless efforts and expertise of the volunteers involved continue to astound us each year with an event that is enjoyed by so many people who flock from all over Australia to attend.
We are truly thankful for The Brighter Days Foundation and the work they do for their chosen charities who benefit from such an extraordinary event that for many, has become the highlight of the calendar year.
