Tough Tilly Day

7th January 2017

You can still grab your tickets and head away for a great weekend raising Awareness and funds for Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). With some Australian music legends lined up to entertain, we invite you to bring your picnic rug and chairs and come along to support the fight against EB with 50% of all funds raised going to DEBRA Australia.

Victor Harbor Half Marathon South Australia

5th February 2017

Are you ready for your New Year challenge? Register for the Victor Harbor Half Marathon. There is something for everyone with the following events available on the day: 21.1km, 10km 5km and a 1km Kids Fun Run. As part of The Million Dollar Run the Victor Harbor Marathon will join the fundraising force to help Andrew get closer to his target of $1 Million Dollars for DEBRA Australia.

Brighter Days Festival

11th – 13th March, 2017

The Brighter Days Festival, held in Bright, Victoria is on again this year from the 11th – 13th of March. It’s the perfect weekend for all the Bike and Car enthusiasts out there and filled with loads of entertainment for all ages.

The festival was created by a collection of motorcycle and classic car enthusiasts and musicians to help raise funds for children’s charities in Australia. DEBRA Australia has been chosen as one of those lucky charities and we are delighted to be a part of this amazing event.

Melbourne Market Golf and Bowls Day

24th March, 2017

The Melbourne Market is set to impress again in 2017 by including barefoot bowls to their traditional Golf Day line up which raises funds for DEBRA Australia.

Registrations are now open so please spread the word!

Opportunities are available to enter a team of four for golf and/or bowls via a Gold Sponsorship, Tee or Bowls Lane Sponsorship or regular team entry. As usual there are huge benefits and a great day is had by everyone while supporting EB families.

Every cent raised from the event will be donated directly to Debra Australia so please support this event by entering your team.

The Cotton Ball Melbourne

29th April, 2017

The 2017 Cotton Ball will be held at Melbourne’s, Atlantic Group’s Peninsula Room, Central Pier, Docklands on Saturday, April 29th. This gala event will raise vital funds for the EB community, with 10% of funds raised donated to DEBRA Australia and the remaining 90% of fund dedicated to Australia’s new EB Research Foundation.

Save the date for this exciting new National Campaign being held by DEBRA Australia. Reach your personal goals while also helping raise funds and awareness for DEBRA Australia. This campaign is a great way to set a personal goal or for community groups, schools and teams to help DEBRA raise vital funds.

BravE Butterfly Gala

9th September, 2017

DEBRA Australia is proud to present the inaugural BravE Butterfly Gala at the exciting Hyatt Regency on the Sydney Harbour.

We are set to get your senses racing next year as we present a night filled with entertainment, 5 star food and 5 star location. All funds raised from the evening will go to DEBRA Australia’s Family Support Programs so we can provide our much needed services to all our families across Australia.

Dine and Donate

October 2017

Whether it’s having a BBQ, going out for dinner or catching up for some sweet treats there is one thing that we all enjoy doing and that’s having a catch up over some great food.

During the month of October, we are asking all our fellow foodies to get involved with Dine and Donate in support of the precious ‘Butterfly Children’ and DEBRA Australia.

You can hold a night in with friends, attend one of our many restraurants/cafe’s that are supporting the campaign and make a donation or get your school involved with a food or cake stall.

DEBRA International Annual Congress

24th – 26th November, 2017

The next DEBRA International Annual Congress will be held at the Amora Hotel in Wellington, New Zealand from the 24th – 26th of November.

DEBRA Australia invites all EB families to consider attending the New Zealand patient conference which is the first time to be held on this side of the globe. More details will follow once available and confirmed by DEBRA New Zealand. DEBRA Australia will do our best to support in part as many families and health professionals to attend this event, however now would be the time to set up a saving plan if you wish to attend.

The Million Dollar Run

Coming in 2017

Andrew Biszczak is training hard for his 2900km Adelaide to Brisbane solo Charity Run for DEBRA Australia which incorporates an average of 5 Marathons a week for 3 Months & one clear objective – To raise a minimum of a Million Dollars for the courageous ‘Butterfly Children’ around Australia.
