No Stopping Gavin!

Nothing much sets Gavin back from what he wants to achieve.  Due to cancer in his leg a major operation was required at the beginning of the year to amputate Gavin’s left leg.  Generous locals in Burpengary banded together to raise enough money to purchase a special electric chair that Gavin could use inside the house.

And another lovely gesture, Nadine & Jason Payne donated an electric wheelchair worth $4,500 to enable Gavin to use outside of the house so he could still independently get about up town.  Thank you to Alan from Alan’s Mobility Aids and Dellphene McCosker for coordinating the donations and organising the purchase of the wheelchairs.  Gavin is now again enjoying his indoor bowls and attended the NZ EB Camp in August this year.

Thank You to the Lovely Ladies at Quota 

The Wonder family attended a breakfast meeting held by the Quota International of Wynnum Manly Inc.  Paul, Kerry and Madison gratefully accept a $500 donation on behalf of Debra Qld from the lovely ladies from Quota.  Paul introduced the organisation to the work that Debra does, and told what it was like living with EB.
