Rodney Sheaves has had a career in management and marketing with professional and industry associations and not-for-profits. He is a graduate of Sydney University. He was a Fulbright Fellow at various US universities, including Harvard, Colombia, UCSF and UCLA. He commenced his career as an Australian diplomat and served in Thailand and Kenya. Subsequently, he was Executive Officer of the Sydney University Medical School ; thereafter, he worked in the public and private sectors as a CEO or Executive Director.
Rodney recently retired after 14 years as the first CEO of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and one year as General Manager of its subsidiary company. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. While working with the College, he became aware of EB and was very impressed with the work of DEBRA. He joined in August 2015.
